    PROMPT Therapy

    • Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets
    • Highly successful treatment technique for individuals with apraxia or dysarthria.
    • A tactile-kinesthetic way to manually guides articulators - jaws, lips, vocal folds, and tongue - by targeting certain words, phrases, or sentences. 
    • A holistic approach that encompasses social-emotional, cognitive-linguistic, and physical-sensory. 

    Oral Placement Therapy  (OPT)

    • A tactile-proprioceptive technique that stimulates (1) sensory stimulation, (2) visual stimulation, and (3) tactile stimulation to the mouth for speech clarity 
    • To improve articulator awareness, placement (dissociation, grading, and direction of movement), stability, and muscle memory that are necessary for speech clarity. 

    Sensory Motor Approach to Feeding

    • Identify oral-phase feeding deficiencies.
    • Address sensory-motor components that promotes acceptance to touch, enabling children to learn to eat and develop appropriate oral-motor movements for feeding.
    • Use therapy tools that can enhance bottle/breast feeding, spoon feeding, chewing, cup drinking, straw drinking.

    You’ll be asked a few questions to help us understand your concern and will answer questions if needed. 

    Initial evaluation

    We  will schedule a date and conduct an assessment to determine diagnosis and provide treatment plan to you.

    In Person Therapy

    In person therapy can be provided in your home, daycare, or school. 

    Teletherapy

    It is a flexible therapy model that allows an individual to be at any location to participate for therapy. 

    About Amy

    Amy is always so passionate in the Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) field. She is a licensed speech-language pathologist in California, New York, and Florida. Since 2007, Amy gained experience from being a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant after completing a bachelor degree at California State University Long Beach. During graduate studies, she worked full time at Nova Southeastern University, which specializes in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). After obtaining her SLP license in 2012, she gained experience in other areas such as Early Intervention, Articulation/Phonological Disorders, Fluency (stuttering and cluttering), Receptive and Expressive language disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Angelman Syndrome, and Apraxia of Speech. 


    Her professional goal is to be a well-rounded speech therapist. She received training in a variety of therapy techniques such as the PROMPT therapy and Oral Placement Therapy to help facilitating speech clarity. She has been treating feeding disorder using Sensory Motor Therapy Approach to Feeding. She also improves her skill by receiving training in a well known and evidence-based SOS Approach to Feeding as well as expanding her knowledge in the area of Oral Myofunctional Disorder.  In addition, she is also fluent in Vietnamese and used to be a Vietnamese translator for a Communication Matrix project.  

    She enjoys working with all ages. She strongly believes in building teamwork with parents, caregivers, family members, and other related professionals to ensure client’s success. Her therapy approach is always individualized, interactive, functional, and meaningful.

    No, we are currently not contracting with any insurance. We are private pay only and we can provide you with superbills so you can submit to your insurance. We cannot guarantee the reimbursement because this is depending on your insurance plan. Please check with your insurance for additional information.


    First, you will receive a consultation at no cost to you. Then, we will provide a date for formal evaluation. We will provide you with reports with diagnosis and treatment plan. We will guide you every single step of the way to help ensure learning success. 


    The treatment plan will be based on an evaluation. Recommendations and goals will be addressed accordingly and tailored to client’s learning style and needs.
